Certification training program and FinOps acculturation
Technical and finance leadership educated on Cloud billing models. Teams made autonomous through recognized certifications and tailored coaching.
01 Challenges and context
Context and strategic stakes
To support the deployment of its Multi-Cloud FinOps strategy, a major luxury group urgently needed to educate its employees on the complex paradigms of IaaS/PaaS billing. A lack of understanding regarding Cloud pricing mechanisms and commitments hindered the ability of Finance, Procurement, and IT to make informed decisions. The management's objective was to build autonomous internal capabilities, align practices across the entire group, and certify key stakeholders to reduce reliance on external consultant assistance in the medium term.
02 Work carried out
Approach and methodology
We deployed a series of interactive workshops aimed at breaking down semantic barriers between engineers and financial professionals. These popularization sessions dissected the mechanics of Cloud pricing models (IaaS, PaaS, Licenses), the implications of contractual commitments (CUD, RI, Savings Plans), and the critical importance of data quality (tagging/allocation). We also presented market pricing trends to equip managers for forecasting their future budgets.
