FinOps & Budgets IT
We structure the financial governance of your Cloud, Data and AI environments to turn spend endured into spend steered. From cost visibility to business value maximisation, we put in place the processes, roles and tooling that make FinOps actionable at scale.
Stakes
Why structure FinOps governance?
FinOps steering secures the organisation against concrete risks, well beyond budget overrun.
Uncontrolled budget drift
Fragmented accountability among consuming teams
Architecture decisions detached from their financial impact
Vendor negotiations endured rather than steered
Difficulty demonstrating return on Cloud and AI investment
Loss of trust between IT, Finance and business lines
Against these risks, FinOps governance acts as the cross-functional discipline that connects technology spend to business outcomes, grounded in a proven, industry-recognised methodology.
FINOPS CYCLE
A continuous practice, a permanent cycle
Our practice draws on a state-of-the-art FinOps methodology, structured around the three phases recognised across the industry: understand cost and usage, quantify business value, optimise cost and usage, all driven by continuous improvement rather than a one-off exercise. The cycle evolves continuously: each iteration refines thresholds, allocations and optimisation levers as organisational maturity grows.
Scope
Five technology scopes, one unified governance
FinOps governance applies to every cost-generating technology environment, each with its own billing mechanics and levers.

FOCUS
FOCUS: the common language of cost data
Each provider produces its billing with its own terminology, taxonomy and metrics. FOCUS shifts the normalisation burden to the data producer by imposing a common set of columns, definitions and rules, making Cloud, AI, SaaS and private Cloud spend directly comparable within a single reference model.
Coverage scoping
Inventory of providers supporting the specification and at which version, measurement of the share of spend already normalisable, and identification of sources requiring intermediate transformation.
Data model overhaul
Alignment of the existing internal model on the FOCUS schema, arbitration between native adoption and a translation layer, and continuity with existing history.
Re-examining allocation models
The available columns make certain approximate splits obsolete and allow finer ones to be built. Datasets dedicated to contractual commitments and invoice detail open direct reconciliation between usage and invoice.
Data governance
Assigning an owner, completeness and freshness checks before use, and integrating specification support as an evaluation criterion in vendor tenders.
Our posture
An expert, agile and objective reference hub
Positioned at the interface between IT, Finance, Procurement and business units, the firm aligns your teams around actionable FinOps governance.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Do we need an existing FinOps practice to work with you?
The approach starts from the maturity actually observed. At the outset, the first workstream covers cost data reliability, allocation and roles. Where a practice already exists, the work focuses on business value, industrialised steering and scale-up.
How long before FinOps governance produces effects?
The first visibility effects, reliable allocation and drift detection, appear within a few weeks. Structural effects, team accountability, forecasts held and value-based arbitration, build over several budget cycles. The pace depends on initial data quality and the level of sponsorship.
Do you work on a single scope (public Cloud only, for instance) or on all of them?
FinOps governance can be run on a single scope as well as across all of them. Starting with a single scope is common and relevant when it concentrates most of the spend. The governance framework is nonetheless designed to extend to other scopes while preserving shared allocation, reporting and vocabulary.
